:The Data Management Associate Sr. in Metadata Management is responsible for gathering, validating and documenting metadata for data elements related to critical business operation processes, reporting and analytics, and associated data quality. Metadata drives control in several key Data Risk areas, such as Access, Privacy, Data Use, and more. Governed data is used in key regulatory reporting such as CCAR, Fair Lending and BCBS, external board reporting, critical business decisions, and policy and process implementations.The Data Management Associate Sr. will improve data quality and consistency and support program data governance requirements via documentation and publication of accurate metadata for data elements, contributing to greater understanding of the data element and its fitness for use. The Data Management Associate Sr acts as the guardian and decision maker for specific data elements, and is responsible for understanding metadata, usage, standards and quality for specific data elements.Job Responsibilities:

  • Support CCB Data Management\'s efforts in gathering, reviewing, editing as needed, and publishing metadata at scale
  • Understand, disseminate and adopt all applicable data policies, standards and processes.
  • Engage with subject matter experts (SMEs) within the business to develop/enhance knowledge and understanding of the line of business processes, systems of record and authoritative sources and their usage.
  • Partner with Data Governance Product and Technology to drive and test enhancements to governance toolsets for more efficient collection, review and management of metadata on large volumes of data elements
  • Partner with Data Owners in support of migration efforts from legacy databases to Cloud solutions, and ensure governance is well-represented in planning and execution
  • Contribute to development of new tools and processes to allow for more efficient collection, review and management of metadata on large volumes of data elements
  • Partner with the Data Quality teams to ensure effective end-to-end governance of data is achieved
  • Design and implement reporting and tracking to ensure transparency in operations and identification of risk
Required Skills, Qualifications and Capabilities:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in a business, technology, or analytics discipline or related equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a major financial services organization, especially in Data usage, Process Analysis, Process Improvement, Technology Development/Support.
  • Understanding of the CCB businesses, including operational processes.
  • Experience working with the data systems supporting the various Sub-LOBs, including experience writing queries and analyzing related queries.
  • Advanced analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to understand business and technical functions, process information quickly and assess impacts to data elements. Knowledge of Alteryx is a plus.
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) skills.
  • Advanced MS Office suite skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Project)
  • Ability to interpret and apply standards and guidelines to large quantities of data elements in a fast-paced, highly efficient manner with high quality
