We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior IT Security Analyst.
In this role, you will:

• Supporting the HSBC Cyber Security delivery and operating Strategy and clearly understand the team goal and support the team lead to complete the tasks assigned for this role.
• Monitor user activities across sanctioned and unsanctioned cloud applications to identify risky behaviors, anomalous access, or shadow IT.
• Review and analyze DLP policy violations (e.g., file sharing violations, malware uploads).
• Support enforcement actions like access restrictions or file quarantines and investigate cloud threats like compromised accounts or data exfiltration attempts.
• Analyze traffic logs to identify usage of unsanctioned cloud apps and participate in tool health checks and functionality tests.
• Help evaluate the risk of newly discovered cloud services and create regular reports on cloud usage trends, risks, and violations.
• Monitor, fine-tune and maintain email gateway rules.
• Monitor and communicate progress of Service/policy performance through agreed indicators and metrics.

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

• Prior exposure to DLP products (ideally at least 2 from Symantec DLP, McAfee CASB, Proofpoint and MIP data classification products)
• Experience on Management of DLP policies and guidelines
• Experience in channels monitored by DLP like endpoint, email, network, web and cloud.
• Exposure to Shadow IT Discovery, Cloud App Risk Scoring, Policy Violation analysis and Activity Monitoring.
• Experience in managing email quarantine, email flow policies, block/allow lists and threat intelligence feeds.
• Prior exposure to email gateway rules and understanding of how they operate.
• Excellent documentation and task management skill (e.g. Confluence and Jira, etc) Experience in applying agile processes would be beneficial
• Working with Audit, Second Lines of defense and external regulators.
• Require excellent customer focused engagement and delivery, this is a key customer focused role
• Ability to build strong Stakeholder Management, to host/lead DLP governance meetings with stakeholders (including Audit)
• Formal education in Information Security, Cybersecurity, Computer Science or similar and/or commensurate demonstrated work experience in the same.
• A track record of making impactful business decisions, considering relevant risks, long term implications, commercial realities and stakeholders'' needs
