: Data Governance Project Manager

Position Summary

We are seeking a results-oriented

Project Manager

to lead our

Data Governance initiative

end-to-end. This individual will be responsible for planning, executing, and monitoring all phases of the project, including stakeholder engagement, governance framework design, tool evaluation, implementation, and adoption.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and manage the

overall project plan

, scope, timeline, and budget. Facilitate

kickoff workshops

, stakeholder interviews, and ongoing steering committee meetings. Oversee development of deliverables:

Governance Charter

, Data Inventories, Metadata Models, Policy Templates, Stewardship Models, etc. Coordinate discovery and gap assessments for

tools

such as

Microsoft Purview, Collibra, Informatica Axon/EDC/IDQ, AWS Glue

, etc. Work cross-functionally with

data engineers, architects, legal/compliance, and business leaders

. Establish

communication strategy

, training plans, and adoption campaigns. Track and report on project milestones, risks, issues, and KPIs. Create

governance scorecards, dashboards, and monitoring frameworks

.

Required Qualifications

5+ years of experience in

Project Management

(PMP or equivalent preferred). 2+ years of experience specifically in

Data Governance or Data Management projects

. Deep understanding of

data ownership, stewardship, metadata, lineage, classification, and quality principles

. Excellent skills in

stakeholder engagement

, facilitation, and conflict resolution. Experience with data governance platforms (e.g.,

Purview, Collibra, Informatica, Talend, Alation

). Familiarity with

cloud data ecosystems

(e.g., AWS, Azure, Snowflake). Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Certifications such as

DGSP, DCAM, DAMA DMBOK

, or equivalent preferred. Agile project delivery experience (Scrum, SAFe). Ability to manage

multi-phase strategic initiatives

involving both business and technical stakeholders.
Job Types: Part-time, Contractual / Temporary, Freelance
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: ?1,500.00 - ?2,000.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
