The Data Entry Specialist is responsible for accurately inputting, updating, and maintaining data in the company's systems and databases. This role ensures data integrity, supports reporting requirements, and assists various departments by providing accurate and timely information.
Key Responsibilities
Enter and update large volumes of data with speed and accuracy.
Verify, correct, and clean data to maintain consistency and reliability.
Maintain databases and ensure all records are up to date.
Review data for deficiencies, errors, or duplication, and correct when necessary.
Generate basic reports from data systems as required by management.
Handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.
Coordinate with other departments to ensure proper data flow.
Perform regular backups to secure data.
Meet daily/weekly data entry targets.
Support administrative tasks related to documentation, filing, and record keeping.
Qualifications & Skills
Graduate or equivalent qualification (preferred in Commerce/IT).
Proven experience in data entry or administrative roles.
Strong typing speed (minimum 40-50 WPM) with high accuracy.
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and database software.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to handle repetitive tasks without loss of focus.
Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
