Job Description

A Data Entry Operator's job is to accurately input, update, and maintain data in computer systems and databases. This includes tasks like verifying information, correcting errors, and organizing records, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of all data. A data entry operator is expected to be proficient in data processing, typing, and computer applications while maintaining data confidentiality and security. Core responsibilities

Data input:

Accurately and efficiently enter data from various sources, including paper documents and electronic records, into computer systems and databases.

Data verification:

Check entered data for accuracy, consistency, and correctness by cross-referencing with source documents and correcting any errors.

Data maintenance:

Update and maintain existing databases, making corrections, and ensuring records are current.

Record keeping:

Organize and file both physical and digital documents for easy retrieval.

Data security:

Maintain the confidentiality and security of sensitive information, adhering to data integrity policies.

Report generation:

Create and generate reports from the entered data as required by management or other departments.
Key skills and qualifications

Proficiency in computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent typing skills and speed. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Organizational skills to manage and arrange data and files. Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow data security protocols.
