Input and update inventory data into the warehouse management system (WMS) or other database software.
Accurately record details of incoming and outgoing shipments, including quantities, item descriptions, serial numbers, lot numbers, and other relevant information.
Maintain and update records of inventory levels, stock locations, and movements within the warehouse
Inventory Management:
Monitor and reconcile physical inventory counts with the data in the system.
Identify discrepancies, investigate the causes, and work with relevant teams to correct any errors.
Ensure stock rotation and manage the first-in-first-out (FIFO) system for perishable or time-sensitive items.
Order Processing:
Process incoming orders from customers or internal departments, ensuring accurate data entry and timely fulfilment.
Prepare and print shipping labels, packing slips, and other required documentation for outgoing shipments.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
Generate regular reports on inventory levels, order status, and other relevant metrics.
Analyze data to identify trends, discrepancies, or areas for process improvement.
Assist in preparing inventory-related reports for management or other departments as needed.
Communication and Collaboration:
Collaborate with warehouse staff, supervisors, and other teams to ensure smooth operations.
Communicate with vendors, carriers, or customers to coordinate shipments or resolve data-related issues.
Data Integrity and Security:
Maintain the confidentiality and security of sensitive information.
Ensure data accuracy and integrity by conducting regular audits and verification processes.
Compliance:
Comply with company policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to data entry, inventory management, and warehouse operations.
Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Skills and Qualifications:
12th or a graduate in any domain.
Proven experience as a data entry operator or in a similar role is an advantage.
Proficient in using computer software, including spreadsheet applications and database management systems.
Excellent typing speed and accuracy.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Basic mathematical skills and ability to perform calculations related to inventory management.
Familiarity with warehouse operations and inventory management concepts is a plus.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Adherence to deadlines and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
