As a Data Entry Clerk, you will be responsible for inputting and updating information into databases and maintaining accurate records of valuable company data.
Key Responsibilities:
Enter Financial Data
: Accurately input accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other financial transactions into accounting software or spreadsheets.
Maintain Records
: Ensure that all accounting records, such as invoices, receipts, and other financial documents, are accurately entered and well-organized.
Data Verification
: Cross-check and verify financial data for accuracy before inputting it into the system.
Reconcile Accounts
: Assist in reconciling discrepancies in accounts, ensuring that all data entries match bank statements, invoices, and receipts.
Generate Financial Reports
: Prepare and update regular financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, based on the entered data.
Process Payments
: Help process payments, including checks, wire transfers, and credit card transactions, ensuring that data is accurately recorded.
Assist in Audits
: Provide support during audits by ensuring all data is properly documented and accessible.
Manage Invoices and Billing
: Enter vendor invoices, customer billing information, and ensure that all payment terms are correctly recorded.
Monitor Financial Transactions
: Assist in monitoring and categorizing financial transactions, ensuring they are in line with company policies.
Data Maintenance
: Regularly update and maintain accounting records and databases to ensure they are current and complete.
Follow Accounting Procedures
: Adhere to accounting procedures and internal controls to ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education
: High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred).
Experience
: Previous experience in data entry or accounting-related roles preferred.
Technical Skills
: Proficient in accounting software (such as Zoho Books, SAP, or others), Microsoft Excel, Google sheets, and other office software.
Attention to Detail
: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry, ensuring all financial transactions are correctly recorded.
Organizational Skills
: Ability to maintain organized financial records and manage large volumes of data.
Communication Skills
: Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with colleagues and provide accurate financial information.
Basic Knowledge of Accounting Principles
: A basic understanding of financial terms and accounting practices.
Time Management
: Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines, especially during month-end or year-end closing periods.
Experience - 0 to 2 years.
Salary- For freshers Rs.15K pm and for experienced person based on their previous salary package.
