We're seeking someone to join our FRPPE Tech team as a Data Engineer, in Risk Technology. This is a data engineer role with Firm Risk Technology group. We are looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic, hands-on and delivery focused data engineer / ETL developer with strong Data analytics skills and experience on various data visualization tools.
In the Technology division, we leverage innovation to build the connections and capabilities that power our Firm, enabling our clients and colleagues to redefine markets and shape the future of our communities.
This is Director position that develops and maintains software solutions that support business needs.

What you'll do in the role:
You will be expected to work closely with our business users for projects. The development will be performed using an Agile methodology which is based on scrum (time boxing, daily scrum meetings, retrospectives, etc.) and XP (continuous integration, refactoring, unit testing, etc.) best practices. Candidates must therefore be able to work collaboratively, demonstrate good ownership and be able to work well in teams. Candidate needs to keep abreast of new technologies and architect patterns to define and implement state of art systems. The role also demands ability to successfully work with global teams in US and India.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Design, development and support of Data Ingestion Framework (using Python, SQL, Unix Shell Scripting etc.)
You are in love with Data, Databases, and have your ears to the ground on emerging data technology trends.
Business Intelligence reporting through Data Visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau etc.
Implementing DevOps techniques and practices like Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment, Test Automation, Build Automation and Test-Driven Development to enable the rapid delivery of working code-utilizing tools like Git
What you'll bring to the role:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field
5+ Years of working experience on Data Warehousing projects and having very good understanding on Data Modeling and Methodologies (Enterprise Transactional Data Model (OLTP) and Dimensional modeling. Well versed with principles, techniques and best practices of data modeling).
3+ Years of strong development experience with Extract, Transform and Load tooling and extensive experience in designing and developing of complex mappings, applying various transformations such as lookup, source qualifier, update strategy, router, sequence generator, aggregator, rank, stored procedure, filter, joiner and sorter transformations
3+ Years of strong development experience in UNIX platform, Python scripting and managing Autosys jobs
Advanced proficiency with SQL for generation and extraction of data for use in analytics and reporting
Experience in closely working with application teams and managing all the DB related activities such as DB modeling, design, development, maintenance and support
Strong Skills in Relational Databases including database design, writing complex queries and stored procedures, performance tuning
Experience in integration of various data sources like DB2, Snowflake, Green Plum, SQL Server and Flat Files
Knowledge about Devops implementation in Data space
Excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical and leadership skill
At least 6 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role
DESIRED SKILLS:
Financial Services experience will be a strong plus
