POSITION SUMMARY:





As a Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, building, and optimizing data pipelines that support analytics, machine learning, and business intelligence across the organization. You will be responsible for leading a team of data engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation, and ensuring the successful implementation of scalable data solutions that align with the

PVH

Data Powerhouse

strategy.


You will work closely with data architects, analysts, and business leaders to ensure that our data platforms meet the organization's evolving needs while maintaining high standards of data governance, security, and performance. Your leadership will be instrumental in guiding the team towards best practices in cloud-based data engineering, DevOps, and agile methodologies.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB:





Develop, maintain, and optimize data pipelines using

Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Delta Lake, and PySpark

. Implement best practices for

data modeling, transformation, and storage

within cloud-based environments. Work with

senior engineers and business stakeholders

to understand data requirements and support scalable solutions. Monitor and troubleshoot data workflows to

ensure reliability, performance, and cost efficiency

. Assist in

data governance, security, and compliance

efforts by following established policies. Contribute to

documentation

, including data flow processes and troubleshooting guides. Support

automation and CI/CD pipeline

initiatives to improve data pipeline efficiency. Stay updated on

emerging technologies

and provide input on improving data infrastructure. Collaborate with

cross-functional teams

, including Data Science, Product, and IT, to enable data-driven decision-making.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:



Experience:



Training in

Computer Science

or a related degree, or equivalent professional experience.

6+ years of experience developing SQL scripts

and procedures to process data

3+ years of experience developing in Python

and familiarity with software engineering best practices (test-driven design, object-oriented programming). Experience with

batch processing

data pipelines Passion for

solving customer problems

through innovation. Proven track record of building product that customers love Experience

building products

with diverse engineering teams and stakeholders, collaborating and negotiating across teams Excellent

interpersonal, written and verbal communication

skills; demonstrated ability to develop strong relationships with and effectively communicate complex ideas to technical and non-technical audiences Demonstrated ability to

Education:




B.S. degree in a technical field or equivalent work experience

Skills:



Required:



Azure Data Factory, DataBricks, Delta Lake, PySpark Cloud environment (Azure preferably, AWS, Google)

Preferred:

Large-scale / distributed computing and analytics (Hadoop/Spark etc.) Knowledge of SQL Software development / engineering a plus Source control & CI/CD and collaboration tools (Git etc.) Scaled model testing, integration and deployment Microsoft tech stack, Azure preferred Agile ways of working (2-week sprints, backlog, retrospective etc.)

BUDGETARY RESPONSIBILITIES:





Provides input and budgetary requirements for projects in partnership with other TPG departments and respective business groups.


Responsible for adhering to and managing Product direct and indirect expenses

DECISION MAKING:



Technology products and partners selection in collaboration with other stakeholders Roadmap and heatmap decisions for owned products Project and team level decision making including work prioritization, risk/issue management, and escalation management

RESOURCEFULNESS/CREATIVITY:





Ensure that all technology solutions address business demands and are both reliable and cost effective. Requires strong communication skills and the ability to foster teamwork across multiple groups and/or regions. Creative problem solver who can negotiate and influence decisions.

ENVIRONMENT:





This global role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Domestic and international travel may be required.
