Job Summary :
We are looking for a Data Engineer Tech Lead with 7-9 years of experience to lead data engineering projects and mentor a small team. The ideal candidate is hands-on with modern data technologies, has strong problem-solving skills, and can design scalable data solutions while ensuring best practices and quality delivery.
Key Responsibilities :
Lead and mentor a team of data engineers while staying hands-on in development.
Design, build, and optimize scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for structured and unstructured data.
Work with cloud-native platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP) and data frameworks (Spark, Databricks, Kafka, Snowflake, etc.).
Collaborate with Data Scientists, Analysts, and Business teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
Implement data quality, governance, and security standards across pipelines.
Drive automation, performance optimization, and cost efficiency in data platforms.
Contribute to architecture discussions and ensure adherence to best practices.
Role Requirements and Qualifications:
Bachelor's/Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
7-9 years of experience in Data Engineering, with at least 3+ years in a lead/mentorship role.
Hands-on experience with: Data frameworks: Spark, Databricks, Kafka, Data warehouses: Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, Cloud platforms: AWS/Azure.
Familiarity with CI/CD, DevOps, and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
Strong understanding of data modeling, data lakes, and warehouse design.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
