We are looking for a Data Engineer with 4-6 years of experience and strong expertise in SQL Server, Oracle, and cloud advisory services on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This role focuses on guiding clients through database modernization and cloud adoption, playing a key part in strategic migration planning, performance optimization, and enterprise-grade database management.
Key Responsibilities
Provide expert advisory on SQL Server and Oracle databases (MongoDB exposure is a plus).
Guide cloud adoption strategies using GCP services like Compute Engine, Cloud SQL, and GCVE.
Recommend observability and monitoring best practices to ensure high system reliability.
Develop and advise on backup and disaster recovery (DR) plans aligned with business needs.
Lead cloud migration planning and execution for database workloads.
Identify opportunities for performance tuning in on-prem and cloud-hosted systems.
Collaborate with executives, architects, and engineering teams to align tech with business goals.
Ensure compliance with cloud governance, security, and data management policies.
Share knowledge through documentation, workshops, and internal enablement sessions.
Key Skills & Qualifications
Strong hands-on expertise in SQL Server and Oracle databases.
Advisory or practical experience with GCP (Compute Engine, Cloud SQL, GCVE).
Knowledge of observability, monitoring tools, backup, and disaster recovery strategies.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
Ability to think strategically and guide cloud database transformation initiatives.
