To be successful as a Data Engineer you should have experience with:

Strong proficiency in Core Java, including Collections, Concurrency, and Memory Management. Hands-on experience with Confluent Kafka, including Kafka Streams, Kafka Connect, and Schema Registry. Practical knowledge of Apache Flink for real-time stream processing and stateful computations. Solid understanding of event-driven architectures, message processing, and streaming design patterns. Experience integrating streaming platforms with Data Warehouses and Data Lakes. Proficiency in Relational Databases such asOracle and SQL Server, including PL/SQL development. Familiarity withcontainerization technologies likeDocker, Kubernetes,and Helm. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and build/deployment tools. Proficient in version control systems such as Git, GitLab, or Bitbucket. Strong background in performance tuning, profiling, and resolving production issues in distributed systems. Working knowledge of Agile methodologies andcollaborative development practices. Solid grasp of SOLID principles, object-oriented design, and software design patterns. Ability to manage multiple workstreams with a structured and analytical approach to problem-solving. Excellentinterpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Experience inmentoring junior engineers and promoting engineering best practices.

This role is based in Pune.

Purpose of the role

To build and maintain the systems that collect, store, process, and analyse data, such as data pipelines, data warehouses and data lakes to ensure that all data is accurate, accessible, and secure.

Accountabilities

Build and maintenance of data architectures pipelines that enable the transfer and processing of durable, complete and consistent data. Design and implementation of data warehoused and data lakes that manage the appropriate data volumes and velocity and adhere to the required security measures. Development of processing and analysis algorithms fit for the intended data complexity and volumes. Collaboration with data scientist to build and deploy machine learning models.
