Job Title: Data Engineer
Role Overview
A Data Engineer is responsible for building and managing data pipelines that collect, process, and store data from different sources. This role ensures data is reliable, scalable, and ready for analytics using cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
Key Responsibilities (Explained Briefly)
Build batch and real-time data pipelines to move data from source systems to data lakes/warehouses
Develop and maintain ETL / ELT processes for data transformation
Work on cloud-native services in AWS, GCP, or Azure
Design and support data lakes and data warehouses for reporting and analytics
Ensure data quality, performance, and monitoring of pipelines
Collaborate with BI, Analytics, and Data Science teams to support business needs
Required Skills (What We Expect)
Strong Python and SQL for data processing
Experience with one cloud platform (AWS / GCP / Azure)
Hands-on experience in data pipeline development
Working knowledge of Spark / Databricks
Experience with data warehouses like Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, or Synapse
Basic understanding of streaming technologies is a plus
Experience & Education
4+ years of experience in Data Engineering or related roles
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
