Position Summary... What you\'ll do... About Team: On the Item and Inventory team, we ensure our customers get their orders when and where they want them, in a frictionless, predictable manner. What\'s more, we create reusable SaaS products and services that manage our catalog and power end-to-end inventory management, including replenishment, fulfillment, and transportation. With end-to-end inventory management, from replenishment and fulfillment to transportation, we give our drivers and partners the tools they need to get the right items to customers on time and in the right packaging. What you\'ll do: Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines to ingest, process, store, and manage large volumes of structured and unstructured data from different sources. Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Implement data ingestion, processing, storage, and retrieval using big data technologies, such as Hadoop, Spark, and NoSQL databases. Develop and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to cleanse, integrate, and synthesize data from various sources. Optimize the performance of data pipelines and data storage systems for efficiency, reliability, and scalability. Implement data quality control measures to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and security of the data. Create and maintain documentation on data architecture, workflows, and procedures. Continuously monitor, troubleshoot, and improve the performance and reliability of data infrastructure. Stay current with industry trends and recommend new tools, technologies, and best practices to improve and optimize the data management process. Work closely with stakeholders across the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging data to drive business solutions. What you\'ll bring: Bachelor\'s or Master\'s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 4+ years of proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role. In-depth knowledge of big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and NoSQL databases. Strong programming skills in languages like Python, Scala, or Java. Experience with cloud-based data platforms like Azure, or Google Cloud Platform. Proficiency in SQL and experience with Airflow. Familiarity with data warehousing and BI tools is a plus. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. Keep up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies.
