We\xe2\x80\x99re looking for an experienced Data Engineer II specializing in Machine Learning Engineering (MLE) to join our team as we continue to develop the first-of-its-kind quality and regulatory intelligence (QRI) platform for the life science industry.

Core Responsibilities

• Create new documentation for the components they work on
• Provide on-call support for the team as needed
• Write correct and clean code with minimal guidance; consistently follow best practices
• Focus on attaining expertise in one or more areas, such as Data Engineering, ML Engineering, Data Modeling, Data Testing, Data Pipeline Orchestration, etc.
• Contribute to code used by others
• Make steady progress on tasks and proactively seek help when faced with obstacles
• Ensure adequate testing (both automated and manual)
• Prioritize tasks and pay attention to important details
• Develop proficiency in the company\'s tech stack and languages relevant to the team
• Gain a high-level understanding of how their team\'s stack is related to other teams

Qualifications

• 3 years of developer experience with an emphasis on code/system architecture and quality output
• Experience designing and building data pipelines, data APIs, and ETL/ELT processes
• Exposure to data modeling and data warehouse concepts
• Hands-on experience in Python
• Hands-on experience working with AWS Sagemaker and supporting the building of batch and real-time ML pipelines (AWS Sagemaker / MLflow).
• Hands-on experience setting up, configuring, and maintaining SQL and no-SQL databases (MySQL/MariaDB, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Snowflake)
• Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a similar technical degree

Bonus Points

• Experience with the data engineering stack within AWS is a major plus (S3, Lake Formation, Lambda, Fargate, Kinesis Data Streams/Data Firehose, DynamoDB, Neptune DB)
• Experience and/or awareness of open-source and closed-source generative AI products & LLMs
• Experience with event-driven data architectures
• Experience with the ELK stack is a major plus (ElasticSearch, LogStash, Kibana)
