As a Data Engineer at Advance Auto Parts, you will have an opportunity to disrupt a $100B auto parts industry to bring better and faster solutions to customers. You will be responsible for identifying opportunities to solve business problems by applying innovative solutions using data & analytics. Specifically, you will: Job Summary This position is within the Data & Analytics organization. The hire will be responsible for expanding and optimizing our data and data pipeline architecture, as well as optimizing data flow and collection for cross functional teams. Qualifications Bachelor\'s or Master\'s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience 6+ years of experience in SQL. Retail Industry experience preferred. Atleast 3+ years of experience in Snowflake SQL. Hands on experience: SQL writing, ETL Development and implementation. Very strong in Dimensional Modelling (Star and Snowflake). Very Strong on Snowflake SQL, writing complex Stored procedures. Expertise in Snowflake concepts like Loading, unloading of structured and semi structured data, Data sharing, Snow pipe, RBAC controls, Tasks. Expertise in working on complex JSON/variant data in Snowflake Snowflake skills around design and development of data pipelines between legacy on premise and cloud environments. Expertise with Snowflake Data Warehouse, Amazon Web Services, SQL-based database systems, and/or other enterprise data warehouse solutions. Good to have experience working with integration tools such as APIs, Web Services, JDBC/ODBC connectors, and other integration technologies. Experience working with programming languages used in ETL and/or ELT environments, such as Talend Cloud ETL, SQL and Python. Should be able to assess the current snowflake environment and propose the Solutions Propose Standard and Best Practices by leveraging Snowflake Services Knowledge on AWS Services and Talend Cloud ETL is addon Independent. Strong critical thinking, decision making, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Apply creative thinking/approach to arrive at technical solutions that enhance business goals and align with corporate technology strategies.
