DESCRIPTION
Are you obsessed with the power of data to inform high impact decisions? If you know and love working with ETL, data architecture, scripting, and analysis (SQL expertise), this may be the right next role for you.
As the Data Engineer, you will build and maintain the infrastructure to answer questions with data, using software engineering best practices, data management fundamentals, data storage principles, and recent advances in distributed systems. You will seamlessly connect the various systems that support the various Amazon digital businesses. You will create reporting and analysis that the business will use to measure all aspects of operational performance and cost, and drive both incremental improvement to existing tools and processes and large scale changes in our tools, UI, processes and overall organization.
We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:
Chennai, TN, IND
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of data engineering experience
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
- Experience with SQL
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with AWS technologies like Redshift, S3, AWS Glue, EMR, Kinesis, FireHose, Lambda, and IAM roles and permissions
- Experience with non-relational databases / data stores (object storage, document or key-value stores, graph databases, column-family databases)
