CTG is seeking to fill a Data Engineer - Data Platforms-AWS position for our client.
Location: Remote
Duration: 12 months
Duties:
Advise on, develop, and maintain data engineering solutions on the AWS Cloud ecosystem.
Design, build, and operate batch and real-time data pipelines using AWS services such as AWS EMR, AWS Glue, Glue Catalog, and Kinesis.
Create and manage data layers on AWS RedShift, Aurora, and DynamoDB.
Migrate data using AWS DMS and ensure seamless integration with existing data platforms.
Utilize AWS Data Platform components including S3, RedShift, RedShift Spectrum, AWS Glue with Spark, AWS Glue with Python, Lambda functions with Python, AWS Glue Catalog, and AWS Glue Databrew.
Develop batch and real-time data pipelines for Data Warehouse and Datalake using AWS Kinesis and Managed Streaming for Apache Kafka.
Implement and maintain open-source technologies such as Apache Airflow and dbt, and perform data processing with Spark / Python or Spark / Scala on the AWS Platform.
Schedule and manage data services on AWS to ensure optimal operation and integration of data engineering solutions.
Skills:
Expertise with AWS data engineering toolsets (S3, RedShift, RedShift Spectrum, Glue, Kinesis, Lambda, DynamoDB, DMS).
Strong programming skills in Python and/or Scala for data processing.
Experience with data orchestration and workflow tools such as Apache Airflow and dbt.
Proficiency in building both batch and real-time data pipelines.
Strong understanding of Data Warehouse and Datalake architectures.
Experience:
Proven experience developing, deploying, and managing data pipelines in AWS.
Experience with migrating and integrating large-scale datasets across multiple AWS services.
Hands-on experience with Spark (Python or Scala) and other open-source data engineering tools.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $50.00 to $120.00/hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained.
