Description:
CTG is seeking to fill a Data Engineer - Data Platforms - AWS position for our client.
Location: Remote
Duration: 3 months
Duties:
Perform database migration to cloud environments, including SQL and Oracle databases.
Manage data replication, import/export processes, and overall data migration activities.
Implement and maintain IAM policies and security controls in AWS.
Develop and maintain SQL scripts for data management and transformation tasks.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support cloud platform initiatives and optimize database performance.
Skills:
Strong experience with AWS, specifically RDS for SQL and RDS for Oracle.
Proficient in SQL scripting and database administration (SQL DBA, Oracle DBA).
Familiarity with data replication and migration processes.
Understanding of IAM and cloud security practices.
Nice to have: Azure Services, .NET technologies, Java technologies, Terraform or other IaC scripting, GitHub pipelines.
Experience:
Proven experience in cloud database migrations and administration.
Hands-on experience with AWS RDS (SQL and Oracle).
Experience with SQL scripting and database performance tuning.
Prior exposure to Azure, .NET, Java, or DevOps pipelines is a plus.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $50.00 to $120.00/hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained.
