Introduction:

The role is for a Technical Delivery Manager within Barclays UK Risk, Finance and Treasury and is a permanent position. The individual will lead a team comprising of SI partner resources and will focus on Technical Deliveries on the program

The role played by the individual will ensure that Barclays complies with the BCBS 239 principles and meets regulatory requirement.

What will you be doing?

• Build and Maintain the Programme delivery roadmap and ensure timely execution of the same with maximum of +/- 2% variance
• Build out the assets and delivery capabilities that will enable delivery against the project\xe2\x80\x99s design principles tracked and managed by the delivery plan
• Maintain accurate book of financial records of the programme \xe2\x80\x93 Plan and Estimates, Revised Annual Forecasts, Variance Analysis and Monthly budgetary reviews \xe2\x80\x93 ensure project is NEVER overspent and ensure E2E communication with group programme
• Manage Risks, Issues, Assumptions and Dependencies of the programme
• Manage large change delivery teams across multiple geographic locations and enable Agile delivery where applicable.
• Align to the PCB standard Design and Data led LEAN and Agile delivery methods - Barclays flavours will be an asset but industry standard knowledge alone will suffice
• Foster team spirit among colleagues in various geographical locations, participating in and contributing to programme and technical discussions
• Management of project finances.
• Successful Transition of projects into BAU with appropriate treatment of residual risks
• Delivery of technical project/programme E2E work streams to meet project targets and KPIs

What we\xe2\x80\x99re looking for:

• Multi skilled individual with the direct/ hands-on ability to execute development management/ requirements elicitation in addition to leading a team of both permanent and Managed services/ BTR developers and software engineers.
• Previous relevant work experience in heading a large change delivery Programme
• Sound knowledge on Credit risk and / or Cards domain.
• E2E comprehensive understanding of software development cycle - waterfall and agile - and should be able to choose & recommend the most appropriate delivery mechanism.
• At least few years of hands on experience in development using SOA.
• Should have strong hands-on experience on SAS / Teradata / Hadoop or any other relevant RDBMS / Database skills.

Skills that will help you in the role:

• Graduate in any specialization
• Expertise on Data warehousing, good understanding of ETL technologies like Ab Initio / Informatica.
• Prior experience of leading tech delivery teams & working within a team of technical people.
• Should have experience with building and being part of data platforms and its adoption by Business.
• Flexible and adaptable working style to work with multiple stakeholders
• Hands on Data analyst and understanding of Business and actively participating in design and development.
