We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Data Centre Specialist to oversee, manage, and optimize our data centre operations. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in server management, Hyper-V, cluster environments, and storage systems, ensuring seamless performance, high availability, and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities: Data Centre Operations
Manage and maintain end-to-end data centre infrastructure, ensuring uptime, scalability, and reliability.
Oversee server racks, power distribution, cooling systems, and overall physical infrastructure. Server & Virtualization Management
Handle server provisioning, configuration, and maintenance.
Manage and optimize Microsoft Hyper-V environments, including virtual machine deployment and performance tuning.
Maintain and troubleshoot operating systems, hardware, and virtual infrastructure. Cluster & High Availability Management
Configure, monitor, and maintain server clusters to ensure minimal downtime and failover readiness.
Implement and support high-availability solutions across virtualization and storage layers. Storage Management
Manage SAN, NAS, and DAS storage systems, including capacity planning, provisioning, backup, and replication.
Troubleshoot storage-related issues and optimize performance across clusters and applications. Monitoring & Security
Implement monitoring tools for proactive alerts on servers, clusters, and storage systems.
Ensure data centre security compliance, including access control, patching, vulnerability management, and DR preparedness. Documentation & Reporting
Maintain detailed documentation for infrastructure architecture, configurations, SOPs, and incident logs.
Prepare regular performance, capacity, and incident reports for management review. Required Skills & Qualifications:
Minimum 10 years of experience in data centre operations and infrastructure management.
Strong hands-on expertise in Server Management and Microsoft Hyper-V virtualization.
Proven experience handling cluster environments and storage systems.
Solid knowledge of networking basics (LAN, WAN, switches, firewalls).
Experience in backup and disaster recovery strategies.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and incident-resolution skills.
Ability to work in mission-critical and 24/7 operational environments (if required).
Excellent communication and documentation skills. Preferred Qualifications (Optional):
Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator / Windows Server / Hyper-V, VMware, or storage vendor certifications.
Experience with monitoring tools like SolarWinds, PRTG, or similar platforms.
