Job Summary:

Troubleshoots and installs advanced circuits, and performs custom installations. It will be an entry level/technician role.

Responsibilities

Installations

• Racks and stacks customer equipment
• Reads installation plans (Visio Drawings / Spreadsheets) and implements installation accordingly
• Installs circuits requiring advanced fiber terminations

Queue Management

• Determines work priorities from the Oracle queue and ensures adherence to all commit times

Testing/Troubleshooting

• Troubleshoots switched/multiplexed / media converted circuits; escalates to, and works with a networking group, as needed.
• Works with customers to troubleshoot issues

Cross Connects

• Installs/tests/modifies cross-connects per SOPs and ensures proper cable management of: coax, fiber, twisted pair copper, and intra-building cross connects
• Installs and tests advanced cross connects circuits (switched, multiplexed, etc.)

Documentation/Reporting

• Maintains detailed written records of all work activity

Projects

• Designs and leads cage / infrastructure modification projects

Training

• Completes all assigned training in a timely manner

Customer Management

• Supports customer satisfaction through timely and precise order execution

Qualifications

• Good understanding of Fiber cables, Copper Cables.
• Knowledge in practice of Dressing of all sorts of cables,
• Testing / fault finding in all sorts of cables viz. fiber copper etc.
• Good hands on experience on installation of patch panels / rack in stack in of devices.
• Good hands on experience of termination of copper / fiber cables ( splicing etc).
• Good hands on experience on installation of copper / fiber tray, drilling , hole saw, etc
• Ability to lead the project
• Ability to work in shifts compulsory.
• 1+ years experience
• High School Diploma
• BERT and SONET test equipment
