Responsible for managing, optimizing, and securing databases that support CBDC platforms. The role involves administration of relational and key-value databases, ensuring high availability, scalability, and compliance with financial security standards.####

Database Administration

Install, configure, and maintain

MariaDB

and

KeyDB

instances in production and non-production environments. Perform

database upgrades, patching, and migration

activities. Manage

replication, clustering, and failover

for high availability. Implement

backup and recovery strategies

to ensure data integrity. Optimize database performance through

query tuning, indexing, and caching

Data Security & Compliance

Apply

encryption at rest and in transit

for sensitive CBDC data. Implement

role-based access control (RBAC)

and audit logging. Ensure compliance with

ISO 27001

,

PCI DSS

, and central bank security standards.

Monitoring & Troubleshooting

Monitor database health, performance metrics, and capacity planning. Troubleshoot issues related to

connectivity, replication, and latency

. Use tools like

Prometheus, Grafana, or Percona Monitoring

for observability.

Automation & Scripting

Develop scripts for

automated backups, maintenance tasks, and deployments

. Utilize

Ansible, Bash, or Python

for database automation.

Integration & Support

Work closely with

application teams

to design efficient schemas and queries. Support

CBDC transaction systems

and blockchain integration with databases.

Job Requirement

Strong experience in

MariaDB administration

(installation, tuning, replication). Hands-on experience with

KeyDB

or similar Redis-compatible key-value stores. Knowledge of

SQL optimization

, stored procedures, and database security. Familiarity with

containerized environments

(Kubernetes/OpenShift) and database deployments. Understanding of

CBDC architecture

, distributed systems, and secure environments. * Proficiency in

Linux administration

and scripting (Bash, Python).
