JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Responsibilities

  • Working with internal clients to support the Data Safeguard tower (Data Protection, Privacy, and Storage risks); implementing and validating processes to support the teams operations and/or assurance requirements
  • Provide support to the team with development of Program priorities, including the execution and monitoring of regional and country level data assurance strategies, to meet local governance and control requirements
  • Liaise with offshore counterparts to manage and/or provide oversight of regional/global initiatives; ensuring jurisdictional impacts and issues to the Data risk pillars and Privacy are communicated to impacted stakeholders
  • Coordinate and manage effective governance to support forums, operational risk assessments, regulatory, compliance, control and internal audit reviews/issue to support the safeguard tower in meeting its governance and control obligations
  • Provide ongoing monitoring, perform quality reviews, and support awareness to strengthen workforce comprehension and execution of data assurance requirements
  • Assist in defining the strategy, priorities and execution of Data Assurance governance and control frameworks, supporting the design of end to end solutions for implementation and oversight of risks and controls
  • Support a culture a Data Assurance by focusing on partnership, collaboration and transparency with the stakeholders while providing subject matter expertise and point of escalation for meeting data risk and control obligations
  • Support the end-to-end execution of the Control and Operational Risk Evaluation for the Information & Data Management Risks, ensuring that Data Assurance controls become a natural part of the common process lifecycle
  • Develop procedure/guidance content, maintaining accuracy and ensuring approvals are obtained prior to publishing
  • Engage in the ongoing monitoring of operational risk and control environment to confirm data risks and issues impacting the business are identified, quantified, communicated, and managed
  • Partner to identify optimal outcomes, developing creative solutions to manage risk while ensuring that controls and processes are properly designed, sustainable and operating effectively
Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills
  • 7+ Years Banking and Financial services industry experience in data governance, risk and controls management or technology controls with a strong ability to evaluate adequacy of business risk and control environment
  • Exceptional leadership, organizational, problem solving, and analytical skills; solid critical thinking and analysis in technical scenarios; attention to detail and able to synthesize large amounts of data and formulate creative and innovative solutions to complex problems
  • Able to think about a problem from first principles, taking innovative approaches to address user needs and to work effectively in highly agile environments, delivering value whilst dealing with high degrees of uncertainty and continuous change
  • Knowledge of control and risk management concepts with the ability to evaluate controls, procedures, and process flows in conjunction with business and control partners
  • Knowledge of Global Data Privacy Laws, Data Protection, Storage and International/Country Business regulations a plus
  • Working in a matrix management model across globally diverse, virtual teams to deliver strategic initiatives and commitments, ideally leveraging product and Agile principles
  • Networking \xe2\x80\x93interpersonal skills; exceptional collaboration, openness and relationship building skills
  • Process analysis and design acumen \xe2\x80\x93 ability to understand a process and associated risk to inform control design
  • Experience in data management tools (Collibra, Atlassian, JIRA and Confluence)
  • Strong presentation skills, including generating presentations and effectively communicating to senior management
  • Experience collaborating/coordinating projects across multiple teams/constituents/Firmwide
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint/PitchPro)
