Data and Visualization Engineer

The Data and Visualization Engineer will enable the site's data and AI journey by designing scalable data pipelines, integrating data sources, ensuring data quality, and delivering actionable insights through data visualization. This role requires expertise in data engineering, analytics, and visualization to support data-driven decision-making across the organization

Skills and background

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field. Minimum experience required is 3+ years AWS/Microsoft certifications in Data Engineering, Data Analytics, or Cloud (preferred). Proficiency in Python, SQL, Java, Scala, or similar programming languages. Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) and front-end technologies (JS/Typescript). Knowledge in database technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL) and data warehousing with an understanding of their application in the context of digital products Strong knowledge of data governance, data modeling, and data warehousing. Experience with big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark) and intelligent automation platforms (Dataiku, DataRobot, Power Automate).

Familiarity with SAFe Agile methodologies and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to translate business needs into data solutions.

Openness to working in agile environments with multiple stakeholders, experienced in SAF methodologies

Data Visualization and Reporting

Create interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI or similar tools, delivering realtime insights to stakeholders.

Develop intuitive visualizations that effectively communicate data-driven insights to support strategic decision-making.

Champion data literacy by enabling teams to interpret and act on analytics effectively
Primary responsibility

Data engineering and integration

Design and implement scalable data pipelines and integrations using GMS/GQendorsed platforms. Develop and maintain ETL/ELT processes, ensuring reusability, performance, and compliance with data governance standards. Standardize data integration processes, aligning local systems with global master data management best practices. Ensure data consistency, accuracy, and accessibility through validation and adherence to global data standards. Collaboration & strategic alignment Develop and maintain use-case specific, yet scalable and reusable data models to support business needs. Implement data warehousing and big data solutions using technologies such as SQL, NoSQL, Hadoop, Spark, or cloud-based architectures. Perform statistical analysis, data mining, and A/B testing to extract insights for process optimization. Ensure data accuracy and reliability in all analysis activities by working closely with data engineers and business stakeholders. Partner with global and local teams to integrate site data into a unified ecosystem, reducing data fragmentation. Support agile delivery of scalable data solutions through participation in SAFe methodologies. Lead efforts to improve data engineering and analytics best practices, fostering innovation across the organization. Work closely with developers, data stewards, and business stakeholders to ensure smooth integration and utilization of data assets.
