The Opportunity

The Business Data Analyst in AI Lab works in a variety of settings to build systems that solve business problems and automate data and reporting needs using analytics tools. The objective is to gather business requirements,
developing measurement strategies and assigning program key performance indicators (KPIs). Assisting the technical team in transforming raw data to produce actionable insights that can influence business decisions. The
BDA will work with multiple business units of the Company group and external clients and scout for opportunities around which AI solutions can be created.

Responsibilities

Strategic Roles and Responsibilities

• Work cross-functionally with leadership, program managers, data analysts, and other stakeholders to understand and achieve business priorities
• AI / ML level requirement gathering and analysis and convert it into business document for Company AI labs
• Stimulate business requirements and develop measurement plans for strategic programs
• Understand business problems in detail with all nuances. Refines and clarifies the definition of AI need for the business and defines a AI /ML solution scope that can feasibly be implemented by the business. This includes problem definition and analysis, business case development, feasibility studies, and the definition of solution scope.
• Ensure that AI solutions create measurable business value and generate actionable business insights

Operational Responsibilities

• Interpret data, analyse results using analytics techniques, and provide ongoing report
• Work on data management and storing via data lakes
• Identify and interpret trends in complex data sets
• Work on data cleaning for processing
• Create databases, data collection systems, data analytics and similar strategies that help in statistical efficiency and quality
• Assist in data migration and ensure communication between data systems
• Transform abstract data into easily readable and visually appealing dashboard applications to enable taking executive level decisions

Stakeholder Management

• Collaborate with other analysts, data engineers, data scientists to provide support to business stakeholder and assist in problem solving
• Collaborate with BU SPOCs and AI Solution Management team to assist in AI solution development

People Management

• Work in a cross-functional role with senior leadership, program managers, data analysts and other stakeholders

Experience, Educational Qualification and Skills

Experience:

5+ years of work experience in Business Development Manager/Business Analyst/Business Data Analyst/Data Analyst

Educational Qualification:

Educational qualification with MBA, BS/B. Tech in related field degree preferred

Skills:

• Goal-orientated strategic thinker but also willing to execute and roll up your sleeves
• Ability to discuss the pain point with business in their operation and suggesting them to document for building the suitable products or services around it
• Strong planning, project management and problem resolution skills
• Construct workflow charts and diagrams; studying system capabilities; writing specifications
• Prepare technical reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends
• Working knowledge of R/Python/SAP and SQL
• Good stakeholder management skills and the ability to support and work with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment
• Basic knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets
• Good communication skills, negotiation skills & ability to build rapport
