Job Summary:
The Data Analyst will be responsible for collecting, analysing, and reporting data related to various school operations, academic performance, and administrative processes. This role requires proficiency in Advanced Excel, Power BI, and MIS reporting to generate actionable insights that support data-driven decision-making for the school's management and academic teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, maintain, and manage dashboards, reports, and data visualisations using Power BI and Advanced Excel.
Prepare and analyze Management Information System (MIS) reports for academic and administrative stakeholders.
Collect, clean, and validate data from various school departments to ensure accuracy and consistency.
Collaborate with academic and administrative teams to identify data needs and reporting requirements.
Perform trend analysis on student performance, attendance, and other key metrics aligned with CBSE/Cambridge standards.
Support school leadership with timely and insightful data to inform strategic planning and operational improvements.
Automate repetitive data processing tasks to improve efficiency using Excel macros and Power BI capabilities.
Ensure data confidentiality and compliance with school policies and relevant data protection standards.
Provide training and support to staff on data-related tools and reports as needed.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in data analysis, preferably in an educational institution.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including VBA/macros) and Power BI.
Experience in MIS reporting and dashboard creation.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
Excellent communication and presentation skills for conveying data insights effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
Knowledge of CBSE and/or Cambridge curriculum frameworks is an advantage.
High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
