KarmaLife is India's leading Earned Wage Access (EWA) platform, offering accessible, earnings-linked financial solutions such as on-demand pay, credit lines, and personal loans. WHAT YOU SHALL DO:



This role is crucial for transforming raw data into actionable insights that

drive strategic business decisions. You'll be the bridge between our technical data infrastructure and our business stakeholders, empowering them with clear, concise, and accurate information.

Your key responsibilities shall include but not be limited to:

1. Reporting & Visualization:

Design, develop, and maintain insightful dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Looker (or similar BI tools) to present complex data in an understandable and actionable format.

2. Data Modeling & Structure:

Collaborate with Data Engineers to understand data structures, contribute to the creation of robust and reusable data models within Looker (or similar BI tools) to support diverse analytical needs.

3. Business Requirements Translation:

Partner closely with business teams (Product, Growth, Risk, Operations, etc.) to understand their analytical needs and translate complex business questions into precise data requirements and analytical solutions.

4. Insight Generation:

Proactively analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies. Generate actionable insights and recommendations that inform strategic decision-making and optimize business performance.

5. Performance Monitoring & Alerts:

Establish key performance indicators (KPIs), track business trends, and set up automated alerts to promptly identify and communicate critical changes or issues in data or business metrics.

6. Ad-hoc Analysis:

Conduct deep-dive ad-hoc analyses to investigate specific business problems, validate hypotheses, and answer urgent questions from Stakeholders.

7. Data Governance & Quality:

Work with the Data Engineering team to ensure data quality, consistency, and reliability across all reports and dashboards.

8. Documentation:

Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data definitions, metrics, dashboards, and analytical processes.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?



We're looking for a first-principles thinker with high agency - someone who can proactively identify opportunities, translate complex data into compelling narratives, and drive the adoption of data-driven practices across the organization.

An ideal candidate would have:

2-3+ years of professional experience as a

Data Analyst

, Business Intelligence Analyst, or similar role, preferably in a fintech or fast paced startup environment. Strong expertise with

Looker

or similar modern BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Metabase). Advanced

SQL skills

for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis from large and complex datasets. Familiarity with cloud data warehouses like

BigQuery

(preferred) or Snowflake/Redshift. Excellent proficiency in

Excel/Google Sheets

for data manipulation, analysis, and presentation. Proven ability to

collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate

significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy. Exceptional verbal and written

communication skills

with the ability to present complex analytical findings clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences. Strong

critical thinking and problem-solving abilities,

with a methodical approach to data investigation. Ability to quickly understand

business processes

, objectives, and challenges.

Bonus Points:



Experience with data modeling concepts for BI tools. Knowledge of statistical analysis and A/B testing methodologies. Familiarity with financial services data, micro-lending, or risk analytics. Experience with data governance and data quality best practices. Exposure to basic ETL concepts or working with data pipeline teams. Basic scripting skills in Python or R for data analysis or automation.

Bangalore is preferred, Hybrid role.
