Job Title: Data Analyst

Department: Director Office

Location: Angamaly

Reports To: Director

Purpose:
To provide actionable insights by collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to support decision-making across departments, contributing to Univend's operational excellence and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Management & Analysis:
- Collect, clean, and validate data from internal systems (Sales, Service, Inventory, HR, Finance).
- Perform exploratory and statistical analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.

Reporting & Dashboards:
- Design and maintain dashboards using tools like Excel (Power Pivot, Power Query), Power BI, or Google Sheets.
- Automate monthly reports (sales, service productivity, financial performance, etc.) for departmental and organizational reviews.

Decision Support:
- Provide analysis-based recommendations to improve KPIs (Inventory Velocity, DSO, AMC %, etc.).
- Track progress on KRA-KPI goals and highlight areas for improvement.

Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with Sales, Service, Finance, and HR teams to understand data needs and deliver tailored insights.
- Support data needs for internal audits, team reviews, and strategic planning.

Process & System Improvements:
- Recommend and help implement data handling process to improve data accuracy and usability.
- Maintain documentation of reports and data process.

Job Specification (JS)

Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Engineering, or related fields.
- Preference for candidates with certifications in Data Analysis / Advanced Excel / Power BI.

Experience:
- 1-2 years of experience in data analysis or business intelligence, preferably in industrial sales/service or distribution sector.

Skills Required (KASHSC Framework):

Knowledge:
- Data visualization, Excel (Power Query, Pivot Tables), Power BI/Tableau, Google Sheets.
- Strong understanding of metrics like Inventory Velocity, Margin %, Financial KPIs.

Attitude:
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to understand business goals.
- Committed to long-term contribution and growth at Univend.

Skills:
- Analytical thinking, communication, reporting, and storytelling with data.
- Ability to work independently and with teams.

Habits:
- Timely reporting, data hygiene, version control, scheduled reviews.

Systems:
- Familiarity with ERPs, CRM systems, Excel automation, and cloud-based tools.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
