As a

Data Analyst

at Windward, you'll immerse yourself in the fascinating world of maritime data, conducting research and analysis using Python, SQL, and occasionally Java. Your insights will drive strategic decisions and shape the future of our products.


Required skills:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or any related field Experience coding in Python - a must Good knowledge of statistical analysis Experience working with SQL databases and data manipulation libraries (Pandas, Polars) Experience with GenAI tools - must Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English Ability to multitask on several projects at a time
Scope of work:

Write Python code to extract and analyze data from various sources, including Postgres, MongoDB, and S3. Analyze large datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and anomalies. Ensure data integrity and quality thorough analysis and maintenance. Visualize findings using tools like Matplotlib and communicate insights effectively to stakeholders. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address challenges and optimize data processes. Develop strategies for both structured and unstructured data formats, and optimize data processing workflows for efficiency. Apply domain knowledge to interpret data in the context of the maritime industry. * Conduct data quality assurance checks to identify and resolve inconsistencies and errors.
