Data analyst / Data scientist, AVP Position Overview Job Title: Data Analyst - Associate/AVP Location: Banglore : Regulation, Compliance and Anti-Financial Crime (AFC) protect the integrity and reputation of Deutsche Bank. They manage the Bank\'s risks and help to avoid unintentional rule breaches and conflicts of interest. At the same time, they also advise on ethical conduct, governance issues and keep our organisation up-to-date on regulatory and political challenges. To establish a proactive framework to prevent, detect, investigate and report bank-wide financial crime risk events Overview The Transaction Monitoring (TM) Team exists to ensure that in-scope DB systems are at all times being used in accordance with the legal and regulatory Anti-Money Laundering framework within the APAC region, and to escalate issues of concern to AFC Management in a timely manner. Accurate data is foundational to the smooth operations of the AFC Transaction Monitoring functions. Associated processes such as data traceability, lineage and reconciliation are similarly key imperatives in the AFC Transaction Monitoring landscape with significant governance and regulatory oversight. The Data Analyst reports to the Senior Data Analyst, APAC as part of the wider APAC Anti-Financial Crime Team. The main focus of the Data Analyst will be to execute assigned tasks such as detailed data profiling of source data, deep dives into data anomalies observed in the data supplied to TM systems and generation of data related metrics for ancillary stakeholders. The Data Analyst shall also work with stakeholders and the Senior Data Analyst to achieve a good grasp of the data traceability, lineage and reconciliation aspects of all data related to regional AFC TM systems, including downstream delivery into Case Management, MI input and into enterprise data lakes. The Data Analyst will also be responsible for working closely with the data team partners to recommend and implement appropriate controls and standards and ensure implementation and execution of both the framework and technology applications required to maintain and enhance the data workstream. Understand and implement processes to ensure that aspects covering Data Lineage Data Traceability Data Reconciliation are based on global and regional standards and directives Work with data publishers and data lake owners to ensure that adequate reconciliation controls are deployed so as to ensure that consumers of AFC data are provided reliable metrics Work towards understanding detailed regulatory requirements and Business/Industry trends related to data controls in the context of the TM ecosystem. Design and develop data reconciliation dashboards using visualisation tools (for e.g., Tableau) Share and leverage insights to continuously improve the overall health of the AFC data programme As part of the data team, monitor post implementation operations pertaining to AFC data and provide feedback to internal partners and stakeholders as part of continual improvement Troubleshoot issues and lead problem solving, specifically for Regional AFC data matters Your skills and experience Knowledge and basic working experience of data flows in AFC ecosystems for large multi-geography FI\'s Basic knowledge of enterprise class payments infrastructure in large multinational FI\'s from an AFC perspective 5+years\' experience in a banking / FI ecosystem with strong focus on data covering data analysis / MIS domains Experience in working on large enterprise class data analytics and MI projects for an AFC ecosystem Basic to intermediate working knowledge in the international payments ecosystem as relevant to AFC: Basic knowledge of SWIFT, RTGS and next generation payments systems. Basic knowledge of ISO 20022 standards Some domain experience of data interfaces to Client Lifecycle Management systems and reference data in general would be advantageous Basic to intermediate technical experience in big data platforms and cloud based ecosystems working knowledge of SQL in Oracle and Hadoop environments.
