Role Title: Data Analyst / Data Engineer
Function: Data Engineering & BI Reports To: CTO
Location: Mumbai / Bangalore

Role Purpose
The Data Analyst / Engineer is responsible for building robust ETL pipelines, ensuring data hygiene, enabling business intelligence reporting, and supporting key decision making processes across product, operations, and leadership. This role is critical in ensuring reliable, timely, and consistent data availability for analytics, product intelligence, and operational visibility.
Key Role Expectations (R/A/C/I) Responsible
Building, maintaining, and optimising ETL pipelines (ingestion, cleaning, validation).
Creating and managing dashboards for business, ops, KAM, and product teams.
Ensuring daily data refreshes, quality checks, and anomaly detection.
Writing complex SQL queries and preparing structured datasets for analysis. Accountable
Data accuracy, freshness, and reliability across core tables.
Quality and consistency of dashboards and reports.
Documentation of data sources, transformations, and logic.
Timely delivery of analysis and data support. Consulted
Product & Data Science for data requirements and features.
Ops for understanding workflow and operational metrics.
Finance for billing, revenue, and reconciliation datasets. Informed
Leadership on insights, trends, and performance patterns.
Engineering for data pipeline dependencies.
Key Competencies Knowledge Essential
Data modeling, ETL processes, data warehousing concepts.
Strong understanding of SQL and database structures.
Desirable
Knowledge of BI tools: Metabase, Looker, Tableau.
Basics of Python, ML concepts. Skills Essential SQL (advanced), Python scripting, ETL tools.
Dashboard development and KPI reporting.
Data cleaning, transformation, and structuring.
Strong analytical problem solving.
Desirable
Automation of pipelines and reporting workflows.
Exposure to Airflow or similar orchestrators. Attitudinal / Behavioural Traits High ownership of data quality
