Job Title: Dance / Theatre Teacher

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Dance, Performing Arts, or Fine Arts from a recognized institution Training in Classical, Western, Contemporary, Folk Dance, or Theatre Arts B.Ed. preferred but not mandatory Strong performance background with experience in choreography, stage shows, and school events Prior teaching experience in a school or dance academy preferred

Key Responsibilities:

Teach various dance forms (Classical, Western, Folk, Contemporary) and basic theatre elements to students of different age groups Prepare choreography for assemblies, cultural programmes, annual functions, and inter-school competitions Conduct regular practice sessions, rehearsals, and performance-oriented training Introduce students to rhythm, body movement, expressions, and creative storytelling Plan lessons, curriculum, and activity-based learning modules Ensure discipline and maintain a safe, engaging practice environment Collaborate with the cultural committee for school events and stage performances Maintain student progress records and provide regular feedback Participate in school events, PTMs, workshops, and professional development sessions

Skills Required:

Strong knowledge of dance techniques, choreography, and performance arts Excellent coordination and stage management skills Creativity, rhythm sense, and passion for performing arts Ability to motivate and guide students with patience and discipline Good communication and classroom management skills
