Make the holistic development of the students their primary concern in line with the NWS vision and mission statements. Work with parents in the best interests of enabling students to fulfil their potential. Have a secure knowledge of

Dance

and relevant curriculum areas. Impart knowledge and develop skills and understanding through well-structured lessons. Foster and maintain students' interest and love for

Dance

. Contribute to the design and provision of an engaging

Dance

curriculum. Have clear rules and routines for behaviour in classrooms and promote good and courteous behaviour both in classrooms and around the School in accordance with the School's Code of Conduct. Develop effective professional relationships with colleagues, knowing how and when to draw on advice and specialist support. Plan and prepare students to take part in a wide range of Dance activities as part of the monthly, cultural and inter-school events and annual functions in the Primary and Secondary Wing in line with the annual academic plan. Uphold public trust in the profession and maintain high standards of ethics and behaviour, within and outside School. Safeguard children's well-being in accordance with statutory provision.

Skill Set

Treats students with dignity, builds relationships rooted in mutual respect, and always observes proper boundaries appropriate to a teacher's professional position. Able to form positive and productive relationships with students, colleagues, parents, and other stakeholders. An excellent record of punctuality and attendance. Good interpersonal skills and ability to empathise. Motivate self and others and effectively collaborate with team members. Has emotional resilience and the ability to work under pressure.

Qualifications

Graduate in any subject with a formal education in

dance.

Evidence of recent and relevant continuing professional development.
