Role Overview The TGT Dance Teacher will be responsible for teaching dance to middle and secondary school students, developing their skills, creativity, and stage confidence. The teacher will also prepare students for school cultural programs and competitions.
Key Responsibilities Teaching & Training Teach dance to students of Classes 6-10 (TGT level).
Train students in classical, folk, and light western dance forms.
Plan and conduct regular dance classes as per the school timetable.
Demonstrate correct dance techniques, expressions, rhythm, and movements.
Adapt teaching methods to suit different learning levels.
Student Development Encourage creativity, discipline, teamwork, and confidence among students.
Identify talented students and provide advanced training.
Monitor student progress and give constructive feedback.
Performances & Cultural Activities Choreograph dances for annual day, festivals, assemblies, and special events.
Prepare students for inter-school competitions and cultural programs.
Coordinate music, costumes, and stage arrangements for performances.
Classroom & Safety Management Maintain discipline and a positive learning environment.
Ensure student safety during practice sessions.
Take care of dance rooms and related equipment.
Coordination & Records Work closely with school management and staff for cultural activities.
Maintain lesson plans, attendance, and student performance records.
Communicate with parents when required.
Qualifications & Experience Graduate with Degree/Diploma in Dance or Performing Arts.
Training in classical dance forms (Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi, etc.) preferred.
Teaching experience in a school or dance academy is an advantage.

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
