About the Role

Theatrica is seeking a creative and experienced Dance Instructor on an urgent, contractual basis for a 30-day period. The selected instructor will be responsible for choreographing and teaching dance sequences for the upcoming Annual Day event at Crescent School, Swargate.

Key Responsibilities

Design, choreograph, and set engaging dance pieces for students.

Crucially, all choreographies must be developed according to the provided script

to align with the theme and narrative of the annual day performance. Conduct daily rehearsals and train students to perform the sequences. Collaborate with the directing and production team to ensure the dances integrate smoothly into the overall show. Ensure all performances are polished and stage-ready by the event date.

Ideal Candidate

Proven experience in dance choreography, preferably for school annual days, theatre productions, or similar events. Strong ability to interpret a script and create movement that tells a story. Excellent teaching skills and the ability to manage groups of students effectively. Creative, reliable, and able to work efficiently under a deadline. Must be available to work on-site at Crescent School, Swargate, for the entire 30-day contract period.
