Line of Service Internal Firm Services Industry/Sector Not Applicable Specialism IFS - Operations Management Level Manager & Summary A career in National Special Functions, within Internal Firm Services, will provide you with the opportunity to support service, sector, and market leaders deliver the unique PwC client experience to our clients. You'll play an important part in continuously innovating and improving Firm operations so that we can continue to provide the highest quality of services to our current and prospective clients.

Our Analytics Insights team is responsible for serving as a strategic business partner for an assigned customer to identify and pursue new opportunities, conduct market analysis, and prepare revenue projections. You'll also develop new service offerings and solutions, enhance existing delivery capabilities, and support the delivery of solutions on engagements. US Finance D&A Operations and support coordinate and carry out the activities and processes required to deliver and manage services provided by technology assets to business users and customers, at agreed levels. This group supports the myMetrics suite of products and services at PwC for front-end, batch and reporting. The following roles and responsibility tasks are completed within this organization:

  • Daily batch communications and data scheduling
  • Ensure all data is processed end-to-end from ingestion to deployments to tools are done efficiently and accurately
  • Accurate = Ensure data reconciliations are performed on tables
  • Batch performance and deployment prioritization strategy
  • Manual file loading and strategy
  • Batch and Deployment documentation
  • Batch RFC Implementation and documentation strategy
  • Batch Nano Projects - Performance tune, etc
  • Execution of daily batch processing of data via ETL processes
  • Attending to the operational requests and day-to-day management of the batch, application or environment
  • Deployment of RFCs for UAT and Production deployments (where applicable)
  • Performing triage and remediation of issues and incidents via ServiceNow
  • On-call support for direct escalation of Priority 1 and Priority 2 incidents
  • Performing early morning checks for application availability
  • Resolving technical issues of the applications as per the agreed SLAs
  • Problem Management (including performance and security)
  • Monitoring systems for performance concerns or capacity issues
  • Providing a data fix for an issue (with approval from Data Architects)
  • Providing Root Cause Analysis for Non Conformities
  • Providing Break-Fixes for any outage outside of warranty period
  • Receive Knowledge Transition (KT) from the Scrum team before any new deployment into production environment
Required Technical/Functional Skills:
  • Work hours vary and do require overtime based on daily operational issues and critical needs to complete activities
  • Oracle, SQL, Informatica PowerCenter, UNIX, LINUX
  • Proven work experience as a Data Architect, Data Scientist, Data Analyst or similar role
  • In-depth understanding of database structure principles
  • Experience gathering and analyzing system requirements
  • Knowledge of data mining and segmentation techniques
  • Design, Development and Support of ETL processes
  • Functioning as a decision-making authority on database design decisions to establish that application solutions exhibit appropriate levels of performance, security, scalability, maintainability, and reliability upon deployment
  • Enterprise Data Warehouse design, implementation, operation and data lifecycle knowledge
  • Working knowledge of ServiceNow or equivalent IT service tools, utilizing change management strategies and IT transformation initiatives along with considerable operational experience in applying these
  • Understanding Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and the development of dashboard reporting, usage statistics, administrator actions and other service-relevant data
  • Managing and liaising with internal IT, external third-party vendors and contractors, and coordinating activities in the areas of resource requests
  • Managing staff and related coaching for these staff
Desired Attributes and Experience:
  • Skilled in .NET, Alteryx, Qlikview, PowerBi, Tivoli Workload Scheduler (TWS) , SSIS(SQL Server Integration Services) and Azure Data Factory a plus
