In the role as Dam Safety and Maintenance Officer, we are seeking a competent, self-driven and committed individual to provide oversight of all overall Dam Safety topic in the Statkraft India, including safeguarding compliance with all relevant requirements and communication with country specific dam safety authorities, as well as the compliance of Civil Infrastructure maintenance activities.

As Dam Safety and Maintenance Officer you will be part of the team involved in Asset Management activities and report to the Director Strategic Operations in India and following tasks would be a part of your job profile:

  • Responsible for the overall Dam safety topic in Statkraft India including safeguarding compliance with all relevant requirements and communication with country specific Dam safety authorities.
  • Responsible for ensuring the quality of documents, or to develop more, regarding the safe operation of Dams and catchment areas in Statkraft India including Joint venture assets in India.
  • Responsible for continuous improvement of the Indian dam safety program.
  • Provide specialized technical support to align the criteria and guidelines established in The Statkraft Dam Safety Management.
  • Provide operational support and professional advice to Hydro O&M leader in the reassessment, rehabilitation, design and construction of Dams and appurtenant structures.
  • Responsible to secure the compliance(execution) of all Civil Infrastructure maintenance activities, proposing the Civil Infrastructure long term planning.
  • Maintain compliance with all Statkraft requirements and regulatory standards on Business Ethics, Health, Safety, Environment and Social.
  • Ensure timely reporting of Civil asset plans and performance to the asset owner and key stakeholders.
  • Support Business Development project (M&A and greenfield) in detail preparation of Civil assets long-term budgets, as well as Benchmarking comparison across Statkraft Civil assets.
  • Support Statkraft\'s global dam safety initiatives.
Qualifications

We look for experienced personnel with the essential skills that includes:
  • Civil Engineer, Master\'s degree (an advantage is to have a PhD) in Construction, Geotechnics, Hydraulics or Hydrology. Dam Engineering and Dam Safety subjects are preferred.
  • Experience of more than15 years in design, construction works, and project development related to Dam Engineering and Dam Safety.
  • Well conversant with Indian regulatory framework for dam safety and civil construction / maintenance. (i.e., CWC requirements and guidelines, national building code, national and international standards, dam safety act etc.)
  • Experience in GLOF, LLOF, geological hazard, dam break study etc. analysis for dams.
  • HSS, Risk assessment, monitoring, inspections, maintenance, community safety, reporting to State and Central dam safety authority.
  • Candidate having previous experience in coordination and reporting with State and Central dam safety authorities, will be preferred.
  • Experience in managing cross functional teams.
  • Proficient in:
  • Civil Project Analysis
  • Project Management.
  • AutoCAD and/or another Project Software, Office; MS Project.
  • Risk Management
  • Condition Analysis / RCM.
  • Willing to travel, flexible and dynamic.
  • Result oriented power sector professional with strong analytic skills, highly motivated, ability to work independently as well as contributing to a team.
  • Structured and highly attentive of details.
  • Capable of presenting results clearly in a written and verbal way
  • Strong in analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • In possession of high integrity and committed to enhance company\'s overall success.
