Dairy Livestock Farm Manager

to oversee all aspects of our high-quality dairy operation in India.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be a hands-on leader responsible for the entire farm cycle, ensuring optimal productivity, animal welfare, and operational efficiency. Primary responsibilities include:

Farm Planning and Infrastructure:

Developing and executing plans for the

renovation and expansion

of the livestock farm and animal husbandry infrastructure. Managing farm facilities, equipment maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards.

Livestock Management and Breeding:

Selection of appropriate dairy breeds

suited to the Indian climate and market needs (e.g., Sahiwal, Gir, Murrah, Holstein Friesian crossbreeds). Designing and

managing comprehensive breeding programmes

(natural service and Artificial Insemination (AI)) to improve genetic merit, including heat detection, gestation management, and calving supervision.

Animal Health and Hygiene:

Establishing and enforcing rigorous

farm hygiene and sanitation protocols

to prevent disease outbreaks. Implementing a proactive animal health plan, including vaccination schedules, deworming, and coordination with veterinary services for timely treatment.

Animal Nutrition and Feed Management:

Developing and monitoring balanced

animal nutrition

plans for different age groups (calves, heifers, lactating cows, dry cows). Efficient

feed management

, including procurement of quality fodder, silage making, ration formulation, and inventory control.

Milking Operations and Quality Control:

Supervising and optimizing

milking procedures

(manual or machine) to ensure maximum yield and milk quality. Implementing best practices for udder health and ensuring the cleanliness of the milking parlor and equipment.

Team Leadership and Operations:

Recruiting, training, and managing farm staff, assigning duties, and overseeing daily operations. Maintaining detailed records of production, breeding, health, and inventory.

Job Types: Full-time, Contractual / Temporary
Contract length: 11 months

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
