About The Job:

  • We are seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Project Manager with a strong background in the banking or financial services industry to oversee the planning, implementation, and management of critical cybersecurity initiatives.
  • This includes CSPM, Data security posture management (DSPM), Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Database activity monitoring (DAM), Key Management and other security enhancements to ensure compliance with banking regulations and industry's best practices.
  • The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of cybersecurity, regulatory compliance, and project management, coupled with experience managing large-scale security projects in the banking domain
Essential Job Functions:
  • Operating Environment, Framework and Boundaries, Working Relationships
  • Project Management
  • Lead the end-to-end execution of cybersecurity projects related to CSPM, DSPM, DLP, DAM, Key Management and other security domains, ensuring alignment with banking standards.
  • Develop and manage project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation specific to the financial services environment.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks, ensuring project deliverables meet strict compliance and security requirements.
  • Banking and Regulatory Expertise
  • Ensure projects comply with banking regulations such as UAE central bank guidelines, PCI DSS, and other relevant standards.
  • Stakeholder Engagement
  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including IT, cybersecurity, business units, and risk management, to align project objectives with banking priorities.
  • Regularly communicate project progress, roadblocks, and achievements to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment.
  • Technical Leadership
  • Oversee the implementation and integration of cybersecurity solutions like CSPM, DSPM, DLP, DAM, Key Management and other technologies.
  • Provide guidance on best practices for securing sensitive customer data and banking operations.
  • Stay informed on cybersecurity trends, emerging threats, and their implications for banking systems.
  • Process Optimization
  • Evaluate and enhance existing cybersecurity processes, such as access governance, identity lifecycle management, and break-glass procedures, to improve operational efficiency and compliance.
  • Document lessons learned and best practices for continuous improvement of cybersecurity projects.

Qualifications:
Mandatory Skills
  • Proven experience in project management for cybersecurity initiatives (e.g. CSPM, Data security posture management (DSPM), Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Database activity monitoring (DAM), Key Management).
  • Banking industry expertise with familiarity in regulatory frameworks.
  • Effective stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • 7+ years of experience in IT or cybersecurity, with at least 3+ years in project management roles.
  • Strong experience managing cybersecurity projects in the banking or financial services sector.
  • Familiarity with banking-specific systems, technologies, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Banking or financial industry exposure. Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Desired Skills
  • Working Knowledge and Exposure to banking and financial operations preferred. Exposure to IT Infrastructure Projects preferred.
  • Strong experience managing cybersecurity projects in the banking or financial services sector preferred.
  • Certifications: PMP or PRINCE2
