Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in monitoring security alerts, logs, and incidents across tools like SIEM, firewalls, and endpoint security platforms. Support the team in conducting vulnerability assessment and patch verification activities. Participate in threat analysis, reporting suspicious activities, and maintaining incident response documentation. Help maintain security dashboards, logs, and compliance documentation. Assist in policy implementation, audits, and verification of security controls. Work alongside senior engineers to understand network security fundamentals such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and access controls. Participate in risk assessments and support in preparing remediation reports. Attend team sessions to understand datacenter security standards, including physical security frameworks.

Requirements:

Pursuing B.Tech / B.E. / BCA / MCA / Diploma in Cyber Security / Information Security or a related discipline. Basic understanding of network fundamentals including TCP/IP, firewalls, VPN, routing, and access controls. Familiarity with common security concepts such as: Malware analysis, Authentication/authorization, Encryption basics & Security logs and events Fundamental knowledge of vulnerabilities and threats, especially OWASP Top 10 and basic CVE analysis. Awareness of operating system security (Windows & Linux). Ability to perform basic vulnerability scanning and security checks using tools (Nmap, Wireshark, etc.). Strong analytical mindset with a keen attention to detail. Good written and verbal communication skills for preparing documentation and reports. High willingness to learn and adapt to new tools, practices, and security technologies.
