Role: Cybersecurity Intern

Purpose

You'll assist in safeguarding the company's digital assets, gaining exposure to cybersecurity operations, and supporting protective/monitoring efforts under supervision.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with

vulnerability assessments

of systems, networks or web applications (this might involve scanning, basic analysis) Support monitoring and logging of security events/alerts and assist in incident tracking Help implement or maintain internal cybersecurity controls, policies, or processes (e.g., access controls, patching) Conduct research on emerging cyber-threats or security tools and provide summaries/reports Participate in documentation: drafting findings, preparing reports, supporting audits or reviews Collaborate with other teams (IT / development / operations) to foster security awareness and compliance
Skills & Qualifications

Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field Basic understanding of networking, operating systems (Windows/Linux), security concepts (e.g., malware, phishing, firewalls) Familiarity or interest in tools/techniques such as vulnerability scanning, log monitoring, basic scripting (Python/shell) is a plus Good analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to learn quickly Good communication skills, able to document findings and work in a team
