As a Network Security Engineer within the Security Engineering and Architecture team, you will be responsible for designing and overseeing network security to ensure cyber risk is evaluated and addressed accordingly.

Your key responsibilities

• Developing and supporting cyber security platforms and monitoring tools
• Providing security expertise and support to the organisation, delivering new solutions and improvements to existing technology.
• Analysing data and systems to select the most appropriate control mechanism for the security required
• Develop and maintain common security design patterns (playbooks, blueprints) and reference architecture models
• Analyse existing business processes, environments, and applications to identify areas of security risk to develop solutions to address them
• Troubleshoot and remediate security logging issues
• Respond to Requests and Incidents related to Security Monitoring and response Infrastructure and applications.

Your skills and experience

• Experience in security engineering and security platforms
• IT Systems management, troubleshooting and remediation of problems
• Demonstratable experience of Microsoft security technologies.
• Ideally, experience of cloud security controls
• Desirable, experience of SIEM technologies and management of
• Broader experience/knowledge of cyber security technologies and controls
• Understanding of tools and techniques used by attackers across corporate networks, including common IT system flaws and vulnerabilities
• Understanding of threat landscapes and threat modelling, security threat and vulnerability management, and security monitoring
• Experience of working in a change/transformation environment supporting cloud deployments in GCP and/or Azure is desirable
• Security certification preferred
