Job Description

We are seeking an minimum 5+ years experienced

Cyber Security Freelance Consultant

to assess, enhance, and maintain our organization's information security posture. The consultant will be responsible for identifying vulnerabilities, implementing security controls, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and providing expert guidance on cybersecurity strategy and risk management.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive

security assessments

, including penetration testing, vulnerability scanning, and risk analysis. Develop, implement, and review

security policies, procedures, and frameworks

aligned with ISO 27001, NIST, CIS, or other relevant standards. Advise on

security architecture

and network design to strengthen infrastructure against cyber threats. Monitor and respond to

security incidents

, providing remediation strategies and root cause analysis. Perform

cloud security audits

(AWS, Azure, GCP) and recommend best practices for identity, access, and data protection. Ensure

regulatory and compliance adherence

, such as GDPR, HIPAA, or PCI-DSS. Provide

cyber awareness training

and guidance to internal teams. Assist with the implementation of

security tools

such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, and firewalls. Stay updated on emerging cyber threats, technologies, and mitigation techniques.

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor's degree in

Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science

, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Proven experience as a

Cyber Security Consultant

or

Information Security Specialist

(preferably in a freelance or contract capacity). Strong knowledge of

network security, cloud security, threat intelligence, and incident response

. Hands-on experience with

security assessment tools

(e.g., Nessus, Burp Suite, Metasploit, Wireshark, Splunk). Familiarity with

compliance frameworks

(ISO 27001, NIST CSF, SOC 2, etc.). Relevant

certifications

such as CISSP, CEH, CISM, CompTIA Security+, or OSCP are highly desirable. Excellent

analytical, communication, and problem-solving

skills. Ability to work

independently

and deliver high-quality results under minimal supervision.

Pay: ₹468,893.38 - ₹1,835,034.36 per year
