Summary:

For our Information Technology team, we are hiring a Cybersecurity Analyst. This is a
challenging yet exciting role in a fast growing business and within a high class team. Primary Responsibility:
As a Cybersecurity Analyst you will provide consulting support to the business units in
implementing secure business solutions and responding to security incidents. You will test and aid in the implementation of appropriate detections, including documentation of incidents and playbooks. In addition, you will assist with configuring of safeguards at appropriate points in the Avery Dennison network. Specific areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to: Incident Response Perform incident response handling and management of forensic evidence, meeting SLAs and customer experience metrics. Respond to security incidents with top tier endpoint and cloud technologies. Create and maintain incident documentation and playbooks. Manage and monitor SIEM and other tools for suspicious system activity and handle investigations using proper forensic methodologies and regulations. Research
Participate in vendor advisory committees, threat intel organizations, and other industry
knowledge-sharing groups. Research emerging attacks and perform threat hunting activities. Security Tool Management In partnership with cybersecurity engineers, evaluate new security technologies for integration with existing systems. Develop and maintain detection policies and alerts, including tuning for efficacy. Propose new uses for existing technologies to improve data quality and reduce risk. Perform tool evaluations and conduct proof of concepts. Manage alert ingest processes. Onboard new data sources into SIEM.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualification:

  • Associate\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or similar field, or equivalent experience
  • 1+ years of information security related experience with a focus on endpoints, incident response, network, application, or architecture
  • Some familiarity with technology concepts across Windows, UNIX, database, network and web
  • Experience with EDR, SIEM, and cloud technologies
  • Passion and interest in security and understanding the latest threats
  • Strong interest and drive to identify/create and meet customers\xe2\x80\x99/business partners\xe2\x80\x99 needs plus cultural empathy and team-player attitude to operate in complex multinational organization
  • Comfortable with multiple projects and able to manage a number of key tasks simultaneously
  • High degree of accuracy, good time-management and priority setting skills are important.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 5%, as well as to work flexible hours
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with regex, scripting, and/or API calls
  • Relevant security industry certifications, including but not limited to CompTIA Security+, CEH, CCNP, etc.
  • Experience in manufacturing or operational technology environments
