The Cyber Security Analyst will be a part of an international cyber security team that supports Koch Industries by proactively detecting, analyzing, and mitigating insider threat activities. This role will involve close collaboration with the US-based Insider Threat team to provide continuous monitoring, investigation, and reporting on potential risks across Koch's global environment. This role provides the opportunity to join on the ground floor of a growing capability and will play a critical part in building out the Insider Threat program over the next several years. Working closely with global colleagues will provide significant international exposure to the employees.

Our Team




The Cyber Security Analyst will be a part of an international cyber security team that supports Koch Industries by proactively detecting, analyzing, and mitigating insider threat activities. This role will involve close collaboration with the US-based Insider Threat team to provide continuous monitoring, investigation, and reporting on potential risks across Koch's global environment. This role provides the opportunity to join on the ground floor of a growing capability and will play a critical part in building out the Insider Threat program over the next several years. Working closely with global colleagues will provide significant international exposure to the employees.

What You Will Do



Analyze and monitor usage logs/activity reports from various IT systems to identify any abnormal, suspicious, or risky behavior. Evaluate the potential impact and likelihood of identified risks by analyzing patterns, behaviors, and historical data while understanding the context of user activity. Investigate and further review initial findings of an insider threat case with designated business contacts (e.g., user's Supervisor). Engage additional business stakeholders (e.g., Legal, Compliance, HR, etc.) to align on the initial findings, investigation strategy, share of investigative findings, and determination of corrective actions that need to take place. 2+ years of experience in Document insider threat cases from detection to closure (i.e., analysis, investigation, findings, and corrective actions). Develop trusted partnerships with the businesses and stay connected to their priorities, preventative controls, potential gaps, and processes regarding insider threat. Identify opportunities to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the insider threat program through automation or process improvements (e.g., alert tuning, preventative controls, playbook updates, etc.). Collaborate with the team members, stakeholders, and other IT teams to share insights, best practices, and lessons learned regarding insider threat. Assist with the organization and development of training programs and awareness campaigns to educate employees about insider threat risks and best practices.
