Job Description


This role will have responsibility for:

  • Checking proofs and tallying the corrections marked by the author and editor.
  • Follow-up with vendors for the titles assigned.
  • Analysis the manuscript as per the pedagogy of title and raise initial queries in case of any discrepancy.
  • Co-ordination with all stakeholders (inhouse team, vendor, author, freelancers) of the title.
  • Checking ferros and advance copies.
Essential skills and competencies:
  • Good knowledge of editing and proofreading
  • Knowledge of publishing process
  • Excellent written/verbal English communication skills
  • Knowledge of basic html
  • Organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently without direct supervision
  • Ability to work well within and across teams
  • Analytical nature
  • Time management skills
  • Ability to deal with deadlines and pressure effectively
  • Good knowledge of editing and proofreading
