Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, supervise, and execute all fabric cutting operations according to production schedules.

Accurately cut fabrics as per patterns, markers, and design specifications.

Ensure proper layout and fabric utilization to minimize wastage.

Supervise and guide helpers and cutters in daily cutting operations.

Inspect fabric before cutting to identify defects and make necessary adjustments.

Work closely with the pattern master, designers, and production team to ensure accuracy in cutting.

Maintain cutting room machinery, tools, and ensure safety standards are followed.

Keep records of fabric usage, wastage, and cutting reports.

Manage bulk cutting for large-scale orders as well as samples and prototypes.

Train junior staff and ensure smooth workflow in the cutting department.

Key Skills

Strong knowledge of garment patterns, markers, and construction.

Expertise in operating cutting tools, straight knife, band knife, die-cutting, and other cutting machines.

Excellent attention to detail with a focus on precision and quality.

Ability to handle bulk production orders under tight deadlines.

Leadership skills to manage a team of cutters and helpers.

Knowledge of fabric types and shrinkage adjustments.

Qualification:

Minimum 10 years of experience as a Cutting Master in the textile/garment industry.

Formal training in tailoring, garment construction, or textile technology is an added advantage.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
