Job Summary

:
The Cutting Master is responsible for handling the entire cutting section of the factory. They must ensure fabric is cut accurately as per the patterns and production plan while minimizing wastage and maintaining quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

:

Review cutting orders and production plans. Analyze marker efficiency and supervise marker planning. Allocate work to cutting team and monitor productivity. Ensure accurate fabric spreading and cutting based on patterns. Minimize fabric wastage and control fabric utilization. Manage fabric inventory for the cutting department. Inspect cut panels for quality and accuracy. Ensure proper bundling and numbering of cut parts. Coordinate with the production, sampling, and quality departments. Train and supervise helpers, spreaders, and cutters. Maintain cleanliness and discipline in the cutting area. Maintain cutting records and daily reports.

Skills & Requirements

:

Minimum 5+ years experience in cutting department (garments/textiles). Knowledge of fabric types, grainlines, and marker planning. Strong leadership and team handling abilities. Ability to read and understand technical specs and patterns. Basic computer skills preferred.
