CUTTER (INTERIOR FITOUT)

Position Overview:

The Cutter is responsible for accurate cutting of interior materials such as plywood, MDF, laminates, boards, and other panel materials as per drawings and cutting lists. The role requires precision, material knowledge, and coordination with production and installation teams.

Key Responsibilities:1. Material Cutting

Cut plywood, MDF, particle boards, laminates, and other interior materials as per drawings. Read and understand cutting lists, measurements, and panel codes. Ensure accuracy in dimensions to avoid rework.

2. Machine Handling

Operate machines such as

Panel Saw / Table Saw / Hand Cutter / Track Saw

. Ensure proper blade selection and machine settings before cutting. Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of cutting machines.

3. Measurement & Marking

Take precise measurements using measuring tape, scale, triangles, and squares. Mark materials accurately before cutting. Double-check measurements for quality and accuracy.

4. Material Management

Check material availability and quality before cutting. Reduce wastage through proper layout and planning. Maintain record of materials used and leftover sheets.

5. Safety & Compliance

Follow all safety protocols and wear PPE (gloves, goggles, ear protection). Ensure safe machine handling and blade usage. Maintain a clean and organized cutting area.

6. Coordination & Reporting

Coordinate with CNC, carpentry, and assembly teams for cutting schedules. Report material shortages, machine issues, and damages to the supervisor. Update daily cutting logs and job cards.

7. Quality Control

Inspect cut pieces for accuracy and finish. Ensure edges are smooth and panels are defect-free. Follow quality standards set by the company.

Requirements:

Minimum

1-3 years

experience in interior fitout cutting work. Ability to read drawings and cutting lists. Skilled in handling manual and machine-based cutting tools. Good measurement accuracy and attention to detail. Physically fit, disciplined, and safety-conscious.
